Request data deletion
Shotbox is local-first. Your screenshots, thumbnails, recognized text, and extracted details are stored only on your device. Deleting the Shotbox app removes all of this on-device data immediately. We never receive it, so there is nothing for us to delete on a server for your on-device data.
What we can delete on request
- Anonymous product-analytics events. These contain only event names and bucket identifiers, with no recognized text, no extracted values, and no personal identifiers.
- For Pro users who turned on sync: your recognized text, extracted details, and metadata stored in Supabase's Frankfurt region. We purge this within 7 days of your request.
How to request
Email privacy@shotboxapp.com with the subject "Shotbox data deletion request". To help us find any records tied to your install, include your anonymous device ID. You can find it in the app under Settings > Privacy. If you do not have it handy, send the request anyway and we will work with you to identify your data.
